A Romantic Wedding at The Mill at Fine Creek


Olivia and Andrew were married in September at The Mill at Fine Creek, one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the Richmond, Virginia area! With historic stone architecture, natural light, and a scenic outdoor setting, The Mill provided a timeless backdrop for their elegant early fall wedding. September in Virginia delivered perfect weather for their day — mild temperatures, soft sunlight, and ideal conditions for outdoor portraits. We had to make a few last minute changes due to a storm rolling in, and it worked out perfect! We were able to get their ideal sunset portraits at the creek, and they turned out beautiful!


The ceremony took place on the grounds of The Mill at Fine Creek, surrounded by family and friends. Their vows were heartfelt and personal, setting the tone for a relaxed and joyful celebration. The reception inside the mill was warm and inviting, filled with a heart-stopping floral centerpiece, meaningful toasts, great energy, and a PACKED dance floor with non-stop dancing all night! It was definitely one of those receptions a photographer dreams about! Olivia and Andrew’s connection and ease with one another made documenting their day effortless.


One of my favorite things about their wedding has to be the sweet moment they shared right before the exit. I was so honored to be asked last minute to photograph their private dance. It was such a sweet moment, and they definitely earned a little private time after all of that partying!
