A Beautiful Wedding at The Pro-Cathedral of St. Peter and Willow Oaks Country Club in Richmond, VA
Caroline and Nick's wedding day was nothing short of stunning, with warm sunshine, a light breeze, and the most beautiful couple you could imagine! As a photographer, there’s nothing more magical than capturing the love between two people on their wedding day, and I feel so honored to have been part of Caroline and Nick’s big day as a second shooter! It was wonderful working with Ryan Waltz Photography! She was great, and I hope to work with her again in the future!
Caroline and Nick tied the knot at The Pro-Cathedral of St. Peter, an absolutely breathtaking venue in downtown Richmond. The cathedral’s towering arches, intricate stained-glass windows, and timeless charm provided an elegant backdrop for the ceremony.
Caroline looked radiant as she walked down the aisle, her unique and gorgeous wedding gown flowing gracefully as she smiled at Nick, who couldn’t take his eyes off her! The couple exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends in a moment that felt both intimate and grand all at the same time! It was clear how deeply in love they are, and the church’s beauty only amplified that.
One of the highlights of the day was the perfect weather. June in Virginia can sometimes be a little unpredictable, but for Caroline and Nick’s wedding, it was absolutely flawless. After the ceremony, we headed over to the Willow Oaks Country Club in Richmond to party! Their reception venue was just gorgeous. Everything was decorated so beautifully, and it was evident how much thought and work was put into this celebration. The wedding coordinator of the venue was a dream, and she made everything flow seamlessly! I think my favorite moment of the day was when we took golf carts down to the edge of the James River for the couple's sunset portraits. SO stunning!! It was a beautiful, intimate time between the two of them, and we captured some dreamy photos!
The reception was filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt speeches. Caroline and Nick’s first dance was SO sweet, and they looked like they'd been dancing together for years! The toasts from family and friends had everyone laughing and reminiscing, and their priest's toast was one of the funniest!
This wedding day was a perfect blend of tradition, elegance, and pure joy, all set against the backdrop of two of Richmond’s most beautiful venues! From the timeless beauty of The Pro-Cathedral of St. Peter to the charm of Willow Oaks Country Club, every moment of their day was unforgettable.
